• In the study by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development published in December 2005, Winnebago County’s rate of growth was above the state average. The current growth rate is a reflection of our vibrant and thriving economy.

• A 4.2% unemployment rate¹ in 2004 is a healthy rate for providing industry with a pool of qualified employees without having a large proportion of the labor force out of work.

• The local workforce leads the state in the percent of the population age 16 and over that is currently in the labor force. At 73.1 percent, it is well above the state’s average of 70.8 percent and the national average of 65.4 percent².
